 Wheeeee!
"Hero Material", the short story several folks on the f-list critiqued in late March, has been accepted for an anthology scheduled to be published this August.  I still don't quite believe it, but I've got the contract and the check (fastest evah!) to prove it.  Just one more reason to look forward to DragonCon.  :D
We will now return you to your regularly scheduled blog.  But I'll be back Thursday with 13 pics from RavenCon.  Didn't plan to make a T13 out of it, but that's the way it wants to go.

Me too. Even when I was freelancing for newspapers, I had to wait for the next accounting cycle to get paid. Heck, even I didn't pay that fast. I wanted a signed contract in hand. Of course, I've known the book packager for years, and I accepted the terms before he accepted the story. But I'm still shocked. Shocked in a great way, but shocked.
