And I bought good cookies too

Today is the second day of my two-day Friends Jumble Sale of my mom's goodies. I did all the right promotions. I annoyed all my--er, emailed all my local friends. I posted clear pictures on my Flickr account for everyone to see. I set up for coffee, tea and great cookies. (Of course there's chocolate! Need you ask?) Somewhat unexpectedly, the weather's beautiful.
And I'm sitting at Mom's dining room table typing into my blog. Even the friend who planned to join me for dinner is stranded in Colorado because of the (nonexistent) bad weather. LOL For some reason I feel like I'm in the middle of a book marketing campaign gone terribly wrong. You know, the booksigning where nobody shows and you're sitting at a table in the front of the store with a rictus instead of a smile?
Oh well, thanks to the friends who braved the threat of snow yesterday, some of the furniture will leave the apartment tomorrow. Gotta look on the bright side of things...
And try not to think of what happens in Monty Python and the Holy Grail when someone does just that.
Hugs and grins,
Jean Marie
