For my sins (which is usually how I get involved in these things), I'll be leading a small seminar on promotion for the writers of Samhain Publishing in early November. The purpose is to help Samhain's writers focus on what kinds of promotion work best for them. But I'll also be touching on topics like press kits, interviews and reviews. Would anyone on the flist be interested in reading my drafts to see if they're clear and useful? Most of the documents will ultimately be posted on the Samhain Author and Business loops, but some may be turned into articles too. Thanks!

Date: 2006-10-03 02:08 pm (UTC)Will send them along. I suspect most of this stuff will be old hat to you. It's primarily directed at folks who've never seen a major publicity department in action or stopped to figure out how they spend the roughly $1000 US they shell out on newbie books. There will also be some basic info on how NOT to piss off your reviewer or interviewer. REALLY old hat for you, but I'd love your insights.
Hugs,

I don't know about it being old hat to me; I've been making it up as I go along.
Big hugs.
