Since you can't have good news without some bad...

I think JeanMarieWard.com has been killed by the infamous WordPress upgrade. Any suggestions on what to do when you get this error message on all your domain URLs?

Fatal error: Class 'Translations' not found in /misc/36/208/819/419/3/user/web/jeanmarieward.com/wp-includes/l10n.php on line 407

I can't get into the site via WordPress, so I've written my web host requesting help.  Any other suggestions?  *big hopeful puppy eyes*

A couple of other people reported the same error. When I googled "wordpress Class 'Translations' not found" then I found one person saying that it's possible not all the files in "the wp-includes/po directory" were uploaded and one suggestion saying that you need to "Open up the dashboard (/wp-admin) which will prompt to update your database…". Apparently, they're suggesting that once you update your database, it will work. Since I don't know anything about the wordpress software, I don't know if that's the case. However, the error message is suggesting that something is missing - either a file that the software is calling or a field in the database. I'm sorry that I'm not more help.

Thanks so much for checking {{{{scatteredlogic}}}}. Unfortunately, the dashboard URL gives the same error message. :-P I think it's something that needs to be done on the host, but that's The Scary Place. Guess I just have to hope my host comes through.
Hugs,
Jean Marie

Wish I could help. But having never used wordpress I'm useless :(

Not a prob {{{{trolliedoo}}}}. I appreciate the thought.
The good news is the web host got the site back, but not before trying to tell me it was the same issue that caused a malfunction at WardSmith. Uh, SJ & I aren't in the same state, never uploaded to the same sites, use web-based email... You get the picture. Now we've just got to find out what really caused the problem. My money's on it being internal to the web host or WordPress. We'll see. The site's back, but I've still got an open ticket, because they cut my FTP account and haven't told me how to get it back.
They will.
Hugs and smiles,
Spider--er, Jean Marie :-)
