It's Here!

Tonight's the big night! The electronic version of With Nine You Get Vanyr is now available for download from Samhain Publishing.
There are so many people I need to thank. My husband Greg and Teri's husband SJ for never doubting qnotku and I could do this--even when well-meaning friends told us we'd never pull it off. All the beta readers who hung with us through what must've seemed like a hundred rewrites. Our parents for instilling the love of reading and storytelling that made it possible to write. Last but not least, our wonderful editor Jess Bimberg and Samhain Publishing for making this dream come true. And how! Look at that gorgeous cover by Anne Cain. And the typography inside is just as lovely.
In honor of the event, there's a contest running on the WardSmith web site. The winner will receive a download of the ebook and three Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab imps. Please, don't be concerned if the contest page flickers in and out. We appear to have acquired gremlins...or ferrets. ;-) Besides, we have a work-around. You can enter the contest here too. Just send me the answer to the following question:
Which of the Nine Sisters used to work as an office manager?
The answer can be found among in the Nine Sisters section of the site. You'll find three excerpts there too. Enjoy!

Date: 2006-11-10 11:09 pm (UTC)If it is then I'm sure it will sell good, I liked what I read :) I'll be sure to use my fun budget to buy a copy when it goes to print so I can contribute to the future best selling!
Will there be a dedication to Teri or is it too late to add one?

Date: 2006-11-11 12:05 am (UTC)The dedication went to our husbands, because of all the stuff they put up with while we were writing this. And by the time Teri died, it was to late to change things. But I'm sure she would've wanted the dedication to stand. The next one will be hers.
Are you sure you wouldn't want me to send you one of my author copies? I have a few to share for things like marketing.
Hugs,

Date: 2006-11-13 10:00 pm (UTC)Oh and when i get a chance I'll shamelessly promote it to my friends on myspace that love these kinds of books. Do you have a web banner or anything to link to otherwise I'll just use the cover art.

Date: 2006-11-14 07:02 am (UTC)We plan to develop some banners, but first priority was getting the web site working again. (We had to change web hosts this weekend, and the new one promptly went into upgrade siezures. Yikes!)
For the time being, feel free to use the cover art as long as you credit it "(C) Samhain Publishing, Ltd." If that's there, the company will be cool.
Of course, since you're selling for us, they should be cool, regardless. :-) Thanks for the boost!
Big hugs,
