Techno-Dummy Needs Help...Again

I give up.  Memes hate me.  You'd think it would be easy.  Enter the required information into the generator, paste the resulting text into the LJ, and presto, funny pictures, fractured holiday songs.  In a word: Fun!
But noooooo.  I paste my results into LJ and what do I get?  HTML coding.  That's what.  Even when I check it out from someone else's friend's page.
Would some kind soul, please, tell me what I'm doing wrong?

The only thing that I can think that might be causing that is if you're using the LJ post entry page and are using the rich text formatting version instead of the html one. You might make sure that in the upper right hand corner of the form that it's selected to html.

Alas, I've toggled back and forth between rich text and html. I've turned the "formatted text" feature on and off, and I've checked the results in each variation after refreshing everything. No go. LJ hates me.
I'd eat worms, except the ground's too cold to dig.
Thanks for trying to help me {{{{scatteredlogic}}}}}. But I think it's time to bite the bullet and find an eight-year-old to tell me what I'm doing wrong. *sniff*
